We challenged the Taunton Vale Club in a very friendly way to a Bridge Competition (they won!).

We had a really interesting demonstration by one of our members, Ati on how to decorate our Christmas table.

Lots of easy to assemble ideas that we would never have thought of!

01 July (2).jpg

In July our Presidents, Anne and Angela (helped by a couple of trusty aides!), hosted a Tea Party for the Club to celebrate members getting back together again for the first time since February 2020.

Treasurer Sally and Secretary Ros were given lovely bouquets of flowers to thank them for hanging on for five years each because of Covid.

It was a beautiful hot afternoon and the home made tea was delicious.  The best part was chatting to friends and catching up – something we used to take for granted but was now very special.

The Annual Inner Wheel District 20 Golf Competition took place at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club on Thursday, 22nd July.

12 ladies took to the Course on the hottest day of the year playing their annual 4 ball/better ball competition.    Margaret B from the Inner Wheel Club of Taunton and her guest, Jackie P, came in with top score.  Mary G from the Inner Wheel Club of Taunton Vale, and her guest Alicia S were second.

Taunton Club Presidents Angela Snow and Anne Moyle attended and  District 20 Chairman Pam Brewster presented the Cup and prizes.

95th Birthday Party.jpg

Celebrating Elizabeth's 95th Birthday with a lockdown party for six.

Elizabeth is someone to be reckoned with - her knowledge and memory put the rest of us to shame.......

Let's remember those warm summer days when we were able to meet in a small group for a good catch-up!

That was after we'd taken the bags of food stuffs etc we had collected, to the Taunton Food bank
